Today is a momentous occasion. The front steps are being installed on our new farmhouse. It has been slow going but we are finally ready to receive guests. The weather here on the east coast has been unusually warm and the alpacas are enjoying the pasture as long as they can. They are very cozy in our Morton Barn during the winter months but they much prefer grazing in the field. All our females are pregnant and this year's crias are ready to be weaned. We are looking forward to the show season . Some of our crias are truly spectacular. For now, we are cozying down for the winter and making our plans for the coming year. You'all are welcome to come for a visit and check out the alpacas for sale before the spring rush. See you soon.

Longmeadow's Madge is now part of the Stonewall Farm Alpaca Herd. We wish her well in her new home. Longmeadow's Morgan was sold to Ernest and Barbara Kellogg of Double Good Alpacas in Va.
Morgan was part of the National Auction run by Celebrity Sales. The Kellogg's own some of the countries finest alpacas and we are proud that they chose Morgan to be part of this group. Longmeadow's Morgan is the product of the fine breeding stock that we have aquired from Maple Brook Farm and one of the early round of crias from Maple Brook Angelo. We will be breeding back to this exceptional herdsire in the future.
We are home for the summer to usher in a new crop of crias.

Sixth Place Ribbon for Morgan at NAAS
April 10, 2006, 3:46 pm
Morgan came in sixth in a very competitive class at the NAAS. Mike Safely said that the placement had to do with staple length. Next year we will not shear our crias in late September so they can show their best at the spring shows. Look for Morgan at the National Auction in May.

Longmeadow's Madge has been accepted for the 2006 MaPaca Jubilee Auction. We have been told that this auction is by far the largest and best group of alpacas offered by Celebrity Sales to date. We are proud to count Madge among this group of elite alpacas for sale.
Show Season
February 1, 2006, 4:30 pm
The Northeast Show season is about to begin. This year we will be showing animals at the NAAS, MAPACA and the National Show. We have decided to put Madge up for sale during this show season
in order to keep our herd size in check. We are in the process of choosing our show animals. It is a
difficult choice because we think that they are all pretty special. See you at the AOBA shows !
